Attorney review period

My husband recently signed a contract for a new purchase on a condo. the contract has a 5 day Attorney review period. He signed on the 5th of the month the seller signed on the 6th, we did not receive until the 8th, the day our attorney asked to cancel contract. The sellers realtor said we should have no problem cancelling within the 5 day period. It has been 3 business days and no response, the seller's attorney is waiting for the seller to sign off on the request. Should there be any issue with the cancellation request, our attorney submitted via fax the request in the time specified for attorney review. The seller is a builder, new construstruction.
