Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

I am a board member of our 5 person condo association. Back in Oct 2010 we had a roofing company make some roof repairs and I was the board member that met with the contractor the day they came out, reviewed the completed work and signed off on it. The association still owe this company money, but 3 of the board members don't want to pay the balance because some tuck pointing was damaged (it clearly states in the contract they are NOT responsible for potential tuckpointing) This week I recieved a letter from this company stating they were going to pursue legal means for collection against me, including placing a mechanics lien on my property and damage my credit rating (I didn't give them any of my personal information) Can this roofing company hold me personally liable for the condo association past due amount?

the answer depends in part on a number of factors that you did not post. Is the Association incorporated? What does the agreement state with regard to responsible parties? In what capacity did you indicate that you were signing? Please repost with this information.
