i bought a house on contract for deed i couldn't afford the payments so i moved in 2006 in 2007 i quit claimed the house in 2008 the city must of tore down the house the owner and another person that lived there at one time showed up i never got anything in the mail saying i needed to go to court so they found me in default now they are trying to make me pay 6000.00 dollars for demolition even though i never owned the house please give a suggestion steer me in the right way

An attorney would need to see the relevant documents to give you any guidance. Was the quit claim deed delivered to and accepted by the contract seller? Was it recorded? You may have been served by publication. One would need to check the court file to determine this.
