Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois
brothers share of estate of he is declared incompetent
I am wondering what it entails if my brother(who is having medical and psychological problems) to become his power of attorney? He owns 1/6 share of farm property. He has very little personal assets except for his share of the family farm. Would one be responsible for his medical bills if he has not insurance or assets other than the farm property? Thanks

Re: brothers share of estate of he is declared incompetent
YOU are not responsible, but his assets are subject to execuetion, siezure, garnishment, which force a partition sale of his share of farm, and probably untimely realization of your share along with it/ depends how title is held
