Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

condo warranty help

We have lived in our new construction condo for 5 months. The a/c went out yesterday. Our neighbor's a/c was out a week ago and said that the repair man told them there were serious electrical issues and that we're all at risk for having problems with our a/c (4 units). Is the builder responsible for the repairs, or are we? We have a warranty on the a/c, but it is not warranted by the builder.

Re: condo warranty help

the developer gave you a warranty, a limited warranty, or no warranty at all

each situation would give you specific legal rights.

Developer is probaably a corporate entity or LLC so there may be additional problems.

email me if you have any other questions.
