Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois
If a couple is married and purchases a house together, although the husbands name is on the title and mortgage, and they get divorced, what rights does the woman have to live in the new house and what rights does a third party (not blood related) have to live with the woman. The house is split in two different houses so its not a huge issue of sharing a living space. Also the woman is invested in the house.
Thanks,

Regardless of the title aspects, this will be governed by family law. You would be best advised by posting this question under Divorce/Family Law.
