Damage to Property
a neighbor hired a contractor to cut down trees in her yard, the contractor cut down a tree in my yard without her permission and also one of the trees fell on my deck and knocked the railing loose as well as one of the main posts, i need to replace the whole set of stairs because they were rotted and can't be nailed into. who is responsible for the damage and are they liable for the whole set of stairs or just the railing

Re: Damage to Property
My suggestion is that you contact your homeowners insurance company and let them handle it. They will seek reimbursement from the neighbor and/or her contractor for any payments that they make on your behalf. This will be much quicker than proceeding against the neighbor or contractor, so that perhaps you can enjoy your deck this summer.
