i was willed a home, how do i get the deed

You must probate the will and have the executor issue a deed according to the judge.

If you want a deed, you will need to probate the will and obtian an executor's deed. However, depending on the circumstances you may be able to just file an affidavit of heirship to show your ownership. You should contact a local real estate attorney.
