Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

i am on the deed/title on the condo i share with my roommate. He is on the mortgage. Cane he legally file a suit against me if i stop paying him because of the change in our living arrangement. If the property gets forclosed will it affect my credit or the future purchase of any property? please advise.

No it will not affect your credit. Your roommate signed the note.
