Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois
Hello, I'm currently deployed in iraq right now but i really need some legal advice.I bought a dirt bike from my brother around October 2009. I took it out to a friends house to get worked on. He was not givin any kind of permission to ride it. I went away for my weekend drill and came back and he had rode the dirt bike and broke it. So for the past year in and out of town for the miltary I have been buying parts for him to fix it and make himself some money for his newborn.I've made several attempts to call him to get the status or just pick it up to take to a shop.I tried calling one lat time before coming over here to iraq on november 6th. I was unable to reach him. i was wondering if I were to take him to court if i would have a chance because of I have no title for the bike and maybe only half the receipts for the parts I purchased. I had a friend try and pick it up but he said it might already been sold. Is there anyway i can get my $2500 back for what i paid for the bike plus the parts I purchased? Well if you could please just message me back and let me know my options or how to approach this chaos it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Since he is avoiding you, your best bet is to file a small claims case and tell the judge what happened. Bring all witnesses that you have.
