I have earnest money on a property that the seller does not want to release back to me.

I can only guess that your question is, "how do I get it back?" If you are entitled to it, you may have to sue the seller and the individual or entity holding the earnest money. You should discuss this with your real estate attorney for this transaction.

Nobody can help you without seeing the contract (assuming there is one). Take it to an attorney (make sure the attorney doesn't represent the seller before you show any documents!)
