how can I get my escrow money back from a realtor?

What kind of escrow? Earnest money? You need to look at your purchase contract - - - it may require the seller and buyer to agree to the refund, and if there is a dispute it is very possible that the only thing the realtor can do is deposit the money in court and file an "interpleader" action so you and the "other side" can fight it out.
