eviction
My wife and I have one of her friends living with us, she has 3 boys, we gave her notice to move on dec20, 2006, but she refuses to look for another place, what can we do besides put her stuff in our garage, our landlord told us to change locks and put her stuff in garage, would appreciate any advice

Hello. Technically she is a month to month subtenant of yours. I suggests that you give her a 30 day
notice since she has no lease. However, you will have to serve her with the 30 day's notice on February 1, 2007 and no later. If she does not move within 30 days thereafter, you are then entitled to pursue a forcible complaint against her. I do not recommend putting her out physically. This is against the law
in the State of Illinois.
