Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

foreclosure

We are in the process of filing a chapter 13 we have signed the petition, but they have not filed it yet. Last week we were served a foreclosure summons. I would like to know how long we have before the foreclosure sale will be published in the local paper. We have included our mortgage in the chapter 13.

I can't believe your reluctance to consult your bankruptcy counsel. Ask him/her about the Automatic Stay provisions of the Bankruptcy Code.
