Golf course property or not?

For 12 years we have maintained the property behind our house that is owned by the golf course and now we are having some trouble with the golf course owner. Is there a law regarding someone maintaining a property for a certain number of years, that makes the property theirs?

Yes there is. But 12 years isnt close to having title by adverse possession. Further you have to do more and from the few facts given it is very unlikely that you have a claim. Give it up and make peace with the golf course, if you can!
