Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

Hello,

My roomate and I are try to move into a rental home that is a "single-family home." However, the owner is worried that because it is a single-family home and my roomate and I have two different last names, that it would be against the law to put both our names on the lease. Is it ok to have two different last names on a rental property that is considered single-family?
