Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

HOA forming

I own a townhome which is 1 of 8 in a rown of townhomes. The homes have not had an HOA. Now that units are aging, one owner wants to form an HOA since she recently had a roof leak. I have kept up my units better than the rest and have no interest in forming an HOA. Is there any scenario where I could be forced to participate?
