Home Buyers Tax Credit

Wife buys a home by herself. She files taxes jointly with spouse - can she claim the whole $7500 if she files jointly?

I'm not too familiar with this tax credit yet as far as the details go. I think an accountant would be a better person to direct this tax question to.
