home construction plans

i was in the market for a new home and spoke to a builder several times for a price and plan. I paid hime $500.00 for preliminary plans. Later i would up not going with this builder. I gave these plans to an architect who made the chages i wanted and drew up a new set of plans. After i started building my house the builder wants fees for the plans as well as his time he put into making proposals.

what is your advice

Q2. Who owns the intellectual property right to the plan?

I wouldn't expect you to know the answer to the foregoing questions, which makes it important for

you to contact a real estate attorney and get competent advise. If you are not near my office, 2 suggestions:

(1) contact you local bar association and get a referral to a REAL ESTATE attorney; (2) contact ATGF.com; they should have

a listing of real estate attorneys there on the web site.
