Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois
Home damage
I sold my home contract for deed using real estate form.I had to go to court to get this person off my property. While in her possession she has destroyed my home.Is she legally responsible for damages she has done even though her only source of income is disability? Can i press criminal charges against her for this?I am told i can not get money from her because she is on disability. What are my chances if i take her to small claims court?

Re: Home damage
She is legally responsible. Your problem is how to collect the damages.
You should contact an attorney who does collection work so that he or she can properly prepare supplemental procedings to confirm all of this persons's assets and to determine whether your judgment is collectable.
