Home lease with option to buy

My lease expires Sept 1, 2008 and now the person who owns the house doesn't want to sell it to me. What can they do? What can I do?

Hopefully, the option to purchase is in writing, or alluded to in the lease. In any event, you need to speak to a real estate lawyer, hopefully a member of IRELA (Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association), as soon as possible. Good Luck!
