new home problems

I bought a house in Oct 06. Small seepage in furnace room was disclosed. But I have actual water that comes in to family room in basement. Is there anything I can do. Also 5 weeks after closing bathroom ceiling fell through due to a toliet problem that was not diclosed

Hello. The law is on your side. Obviously the inspector did not inspect. I assume that a home inspection was required and the seller was obligated to disclose defects. I suggests you file a lawsuit against the original owner. Will be happy to discuss this with you further and in more detail. This is a real problem and you should take care of it as soon as possible.
