Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

The Homeowners Association Board voted to have residents to go to an above ground drainage system. I live in a cold climate and I am afraid my sump pump discharge pipe will freeze in the winter, thus causing major damage to my finished basement. This mandate from the board violates the Village Ordinance. Is this legal?

If the HOA mandate violates a village ordinance then the HOA mandate is illegal and cannot happen. You need to inform the HOA of the ordinance and the village of the mandate.
