Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

My house is under foreclosure now, I received some papers from court several months ago, about the summons and auction sale. But I didn't hear anything after that. It shows on my credit report as Foreclosure redeemed, credit grantor reclaimed collateral to settle defaulted mortgage, but I didn't do anything. How can I check on my house status? Am I under any judgment or Lien against me?

If your house is foreclosed on you will not receive a lien but an eviction notice. You can check on the status of your foreclosure with the court using the case number on the court paper work you were sent. You can check with the court in person at the Daily Center or online at Dorothy Brown's website.

Or, you can go to the 13th floor of the Daley center and ask for the Chancery Division Help desk. CVLS also has a help desk somewhere in the Daley Center. Either can help you.

Or you can hire an attorney and/or title company to do your homework. It sounds as though you've pretty much given up on things, however, which is tragic. Very sorry to hear.
