New House

We recently purchased a new home and had an inspection done. At the time of the inspection the weather was to cold to check the AC unit. Now spring has come around and the unit need to be replaced. We've never used the unit. Can we hold the previous owner accountable for this?

I'd say you waived your right to inspect the AC system. What did it say about the AC on the disclosure statement?
