Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois
Housing Developement Associations
My son recently bought a home in an area where there is an association for a pool. He drives a work van and was told he cannot park it on the street or driveway. It was the sellers obligation to disclose this information before closing. This did not happen. This information occured after closing. H e makes his livelyhood with this van. What are his obtions?

Re: Housing Developement Associations
He should have received condo decs and bylaws which should have disclosed this information if it is a rule of the association. If it is a rule of the city, then the seller did not have to disclose this information. His attorney should have ensured there were no issues with the association rules.
