Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

myself and husband are going through preforclosure preceeding and wee have tried over the year to enter into goverment programs and was turn done because r so behind in mortgage and the last result with an lawyer threw my job suggest that we go through mediation program so if we can negioate the terms of the loan on the property and to see if we can get the payments lower with HSBC/Beneficial but must people i've talk with say they r a hard company to negioate with when you have no rearrge monies to present what do u think about HSBC/Benefiscial

Get an attorney involved. Even if you're working toward a refinance or loan modification of some kind, the foreclosure attorneys and the lender's mortgage people don't talk to each other and I have heard of situations where foreclosures still happen while workouts are in progress. It becomes a big mess without some kind of quarterback.
