Illinois chancery case.
the mortgage servicer plaintiff filed foreclosure proceedings, the defendant filed answer and affirmative defense. Nothing happens for six months.
six months later, the plaintiff makes a second appearance, as defendant.
what does this mean?

Without knowing all the facts it is hard to say.
The Plaintiff could be the Defendant because of a cross complaint, but there are other reasons depending on the EXACT circumstances...
