I am a foreclosure consultant and I would like to give advice on how to avoid foreclosures. Is it legal to give online advice on how to avoid foreclosures in Illinois, I have received foreclosure training? Do I need a license?

If you are giving legal advice you need to be an attorney, if you're giving tax advice you may need to be an attorney or CPA, if you are trying to place a loan you need to be a licensed mortgage professional, and so on. Representing borrowers in negotiating their troubled loans would require a law license too...
I agree. This has all the trappings of unauthorized practice of law, assuming you are not a licensed attorney.
