Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

I have no key...do I have to pay rent?

I moved out of a house for which I am still on the lease. 2 roommates remain in the house. Locks were changed after I moved out. I have asked to be removed from the lease due to the fact that I cannot enter the house. Can I be legally held responsible for damage done to the house because my name is still on the lease? Other 2 roommates have agreed to pay the total rent and remain in the house. Is there a legal document I can have written up to absolve me of any legal obligations due to the fact that I can't get into the house?

Thank you.

YES YOU CAN TRY TO GET LANDLORD/LESSOR TO GIVE YOU A RELEASE, BUT WHY WOULD THEY, IT NARROWS THEIR CHANCE OF RECOVERY IF THINGS GO WRONG, SO IT IS NOT LIKELY/ YOUR EX ROOMMATES COULD AGREE TO GIVE YOU A HOLD HARMLESS ON THE LEASE OBLIGATIONS, BUT WOULD THAT BE WORTH THE PAPER IT IS WRITTEN ON, IF SAY THE PLACE BURNS, CAUSE OF ROOMATE NEGLIGENCE AND THERE IS NO IN INSURANCE TO COVER THE ROOMMATES? could they pay for damages out of their own pocket ? YOU ARE MOSTLY STUCK TILL LEASE RUNS OUT
