what do i need to do to give a small portion of land to my daughter

In addition to the tax implications, you might also need county or city approval, a survey, a subdivision, etc. Seems like it should be very simple, but it can be tricky. Get a real estate attorney in your area to assist you.

If as s gift, a quit claim deed.
This is very complicated and has income tax,property tax, estate tax, and medicaid implications. You need a lawyer to do this for you.
