Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

Do you have to be a licensed realtor to rent homes in Illinois? Actually just show homes to people for the owners that are priviate investors of the properties. These are rehab homes that are purchased thru a realtor, but not being rented thru a realtor. I am not neogotiating rents, signing leases, just opening the doors so the owners do not have to come out to let people in to look at them. they have been doing it for a couple of years themselves, but no longer have the time.

I appreciate any legal input I can get.

If you are actually just opening the door, and you are engaging in no negotiations, selling, document completion or explanation, you should be fine.
