Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois
Living Arrangements
I was given a gift of a mobil home in a trailer park. I signed a lease for the LOT and want my son to live in the trailer. He is 27 years old. His credit is not good and we are working on getting that straightened out. The trailer park owner says he can not live in my trailer because I didn't put him on the lease. I want to eventually turn every thing over to him once the credit problems are straightened out. Can they legally tell me he can not live under the roof I am providing for him? OR can they deny him living there if I put him on the lease and he doesn't pass their credit check, even though I am helping him pay for things while he gets his life in order?

The lease needs to be reviewed by an attorney.
Re: Living Arrangements
I doubt they can deny him living there even if the lease says so. However, believe it or not the mobile home is actually personal property. So I'm not too knowledgable about it. Maybe you should call your county bar association and ask for their attorney referral service. Good luck!
