Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois
Need help to make sure that an eviction is done properly.
Nearly four years ago, we bought the home I grew up in from the parents. There was a verbal agreement that they would pay us rent and electric for their living there until ''we got up on our feet''. Rent was recieved for the very first three months and then nothing more. They do pay the electric, but other promises that were made were never followed through on ie...if we paid $5000 more than they needed for the house they would turn the basement into an apartment and move down there. To this day we still share the upstairs. Its time for them to move on and I want to make sure that everything is done properly. They will feel put out and will seek action aginst--name removed--so I want to make sure that all--name removed--bases are covered. What can I do?

If Title to real estate is soley in your name, IN ILL., no verbal agreement for excess of year is enforceable, for the most part, so just go to an attorney and start the eviction process
