Mechanic's Lien
A contractor put a lien on my house more than 6 months after completing his work. We were never served on the lien. I happened upon it on the Recorder's website. Is this a perfected lien?

An "invisible lien" was created when you signed the original contract. Therefore, no perfection is required. However, there are time limits as to how long the person has to act on the lien. You need to see an attorney who is experienced in this area.
