I would like to now if the mortgage company can charge us twice for the late fee? We have to seperate our house payment into two payperiods and because of that we pay the late fee. Thank You -name removed--Jones

Depends on your written agreement with the mortgage company. If you have two payments due in a month, and there is a late charge for each payment, and you are late on each payment, then yes, I would have to say they can charge you two late charges.
