Is it possible to be a mortgage forclosure consultant in Illinois without a professional license? I cannot find information on licensing requirements. Is a license required to be a mortgage foreclosure consultant in Illinois? Are there website links that provide this informations

Depends what you want to "consult" on. If you want to consult on dealing with a foreclosure lawsuit or threat, you run the risk of practicing law without a law license. If you want to consult on getting financing to avoid or work out a foreclosure, you run the risk of violating Illinois mortgage laws. So most likely you will need one or another kind of license to "consult" depending on the nature of the consultation. The Illinois Department of Professional Regulation provides the most comprehensive list of required licenses other than law licenses.
