Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

My mother lives in a subsidized apt for the eldery. Her house is up for sale. The house is in her 4 childrens name and she has right of suvivorship. How can we protect her part of the sale of the house from affecting her income?

Huh? This doesn't make sense. Have a real estate attorney look into ownership, because if anything I would think what she has is a "LIFE ESTATE" that she "RESERVED" to herself in a deed she gave to her kids. The question will be what is the value of the life estate, if that's the case.
