Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois
Moving out - No Lease
I have currently lived in my apartment with 2 other roommates. We do not have a written lease. I have given my roommates and landlord 30-day notice that I will be moving out.
Do I have any further obligations to the roommates or the landlord?

Re: Moving out - No Lease
THE THIRTY DAY NOTICE HAS A TRICKY APPLICATION, IT IS THIRTY DAYS AHEAD OF THE NEXT RENTAL PERIOD, ASSUMING IT IS MONTH TO MONTH, A NOTICE ON NOVEMBER 3RD, WOULD NOT BE GOOD FOR VACATING THE PROPERTY IN DECEMBER, BECAUSE IT WAS NOT SERVED 30 DAYS AHEAD OF THE NEXT RENTAL PERIOD, SO A NOVEMBER 3RD NOTICE OBLIGATES YOU ON THE LERASE UNTIL END OF JANUARY, ECT ECT
