Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

I have a neighbor who is encroaching on our property with stones

I initially sent him a letter requesting that he fix this which he never responded to.

I then requested that my lawyer send him a letter asking that he fix the problem. He still has done nothing.

What are my options other than filing a law suit which I could not afford to do?
