Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

Notice of Abandonment

I have just recieved a noticed of abandonment from my mortgage company posted on my door. Which is alarming to me because I still live at the property and at another location as well. I still have all my utilities on, in my name, but I do not have much property in house I have a mortgage on due to selling it all for some cash. I called my bank for an explaination of such notice and was told someone drove by and looked into my house and they did not have a reason as to why they think all the Utilities are not in my name. I feel they are trying to course me out of my home with the intent of stating that the property is past due and abandoned. What can I do to protect myself legally from an unfair eviction? P.S. I have not reached the 60 days past due point just yet with my mortgage company.

Re: Notice of Abandonment

You should hire an attorney immediately who specializes in foreclosure. The bank may be able to speed up the process if the property is "abandoned".
