Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

Partial Damages - Two Law Suits

Is there a state law preventing one from suing for partial damage to a structure (ie: tne North slope of a roof) and then at a later date, suing for additional partial damage (ie: the South slope)? Even if the damage event occured at the same time?
