Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

Property Leins

I purchased a mobile home 6 months ago and recently discovered that there is a lein against it. I have contacted the seller of the mobile home but he states there shouldn't be a lein against it. Need to know what my next course of action should be. I know who has the lein but not how much the lein is for. Should I contact the lein holder?

Re: Property Leins

It is possible that the seller paid off the lien, but did not get the lien released. The seller should contact the lien holder.
