Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

Quick Claim

I sold my 2 flat in Illinois. And the buyer, Quick Claimed it back to me. However, I did not record my Quick Claim until Months later. Also, the buyer sold the property to someone else. Is he in his rights.

Re: Quick Claim

Just for your reference, the document to which you are referring is a quit claim, not quick claim. You could have a definite problem here. When you quit claimed to someone else, you gave up all rights to the property. Since you failed to record the deed back to you, the new buyer was not on notice that you had any interest in the property. You should contact a real estate attorney in your area.
