"MISTAKES" ARE OFTEN MADE BY PRACTITIONERS WHO ARE NOT REAL ESTATE LAWYERS. I'm a member of IRELA (Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association). Your present lawyer might be as well. You can ask. But even if he is not, there might not be anything to worry about. You should be asking your present lawyer questions; that is what you are paying him/her for.
