Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

Real estate disclosure act

I sold a home one year ago and the buyers are now claiming that I covered up plumbing problems. The alleged problem they say, stems from the removal of a water softener unit(rental). They are now suing me for over $3000 claiming fraud and breach of contract for taking the unit. Under the contract the unit was only suppose to be left unless it was a rental. I had the property inspected and the inspection showed no plumbing problems at all. Can I be held liable if the company that removed the unit did so incorrectly and I was not aware of it?

Re: Real estate disclosure act

You would have a third party claim against the company that removed the water softener.
