Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

my wife and i closed on our house and i got a copy of our deed from the recorders office since one never got sent to us and that copy had my wifes name scratched off listing her as owner by the enterity & showing her (hand written) as just married to me. there is no intals from anyone on this and thats not the same paper we went home with our title paper also shows the same paper same listing as enterity which one is legal because we have a lein against me not my wife on the house but if its listed under enterity like always this should have never happened. my closing lawyer has the same paper as I do. not the scratched off paper. no intals on the scrated off paper anywere at all by anyone noway no how and then was filed? How is that legal?
