Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

I received a 5 day notice from my landlord on Thursday 1/14/10 at 5:30 pm, so when do the 5 day start and do they include the holiday weekend (3 day) because I will be able to pay him everything by Monday the 1/25/10? Thank you

Typically, the computation of the 5 days is from the date of service.

It's usually five days from the date you receive the notice, and weekends are included in those five days.
