Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

I received a "Notice of Attorneys Lien" in the regular mail. There is no monetary amount listed and it was not mailed certified. Is this notice legit?

Yes, and most do not specify an amount because total fees are unknown. It just means somebody who thinks they have a claim against you spoke to an attorney and the attorney wants you to know that the attorney is going to be involved in any settlement. The best thing to do is not question the validity of the lien but send it to your own insurance company so THEY know.
