Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Illinois

Removal of posessions

I am a homeowner who allowed some relatives of mine to store some of their belongings in my garage/yard when they had to move into a smaller home. The items have been at my house now for a year and a half and I am looking to move out of my home this fall. I have asked my relatives to please remove their things from my property so that I can have an appraisal done of my house. My requests have been repeatedly ignored. What are my options of having these items removed either by me or by them?

Re: Removal of posessions

By them, probably none. I would suggest that you send them notice via certified mail, return receipt requested that unless the belongings are removed by a certain date you will put same out on the curb for garbage pickup.
